This short training course satisfies the training required by ISAF Offshore Special Regulation 6.01 for category 0, 1 and 2 offshore races. The course is also known as the RYA/ISAF Offshore Course, the ISAF Offshore Safety Course or the ISAF Offshore Race Crew Course.
You must hold either the RYA Sea Survival Certificate (or the STCW ‘95 Personal Survival Techniques Certificate), taken within the last five years.
These courses are normally held consecutively so that you can complete all of the necessary training in two days (often a weekend). The ISAF certificate will be valid for five years from the date of your Sea Survival Course.
If you have previously taken a two day ISAF course then you only require a one day ISAF Safety Offshore Refresher
Please note since the latest Offshore Special Regulations, certain crew members are now required to undergo separate First Aid training.
