In a medical emergency, a little First Aid knowledge can save lives, especially when you are in a remote location. This course will provide you with a basic knowledge of First Aid and is aimed at people who will be using small craft at sea. The course is equally suitable for leisure sailors and motor boaters and fulfills the requirements for professional skippers of small craft working up to 60 miles from a safe haven. The RYA First Aid course is recognised by the MCA and HSE, and satisfies the requirements of RYA instructors and holders of RYA/MCA certificates of competence.
Format
The course is built around practical sessions covering all aspects of the syllabus. It uses ‘role playing’ and hands on experience to reinforce learning.
